Rainbow Class - reception
Welcome to Rainbow Class!
We are the reception children at Sutton Benger School.
Our first topic was ‘All About Me’ which helped us to settle into school. We spent lots of time learning where everything is and finding our way through the school. We spent time each day learning to write our names and then we played! Have a look at the photos below to see how much we are enjoying ourselves.
We particularly enjoyed thinking about recycling paper because we read it in a book as a story together. This encouraged us to think about where paper comes from and how we could make it ourselves to save the trees. This is an ongoing project but we have loved starting the process. Keep an eye out for updates. We were very excited when the lorry came to pick up the skip because we thought about all the things that we have put in it to be reused. We are trying to be very careful with what we do and don’t waste in Rainbow.
We love playing with the train track, water tray, sand and playdough. We were very good at making our names out of playdough, although it was very sticky!
This term our topic is 'Down on the Farm'.
