Sutton Benger CE VA Primary

SIAMS Report

Please find below a link to our most recent SIAMS report which found that:

“At Sutton Benger, a community has been created where Christian values are not only expressed, but are ‘lived out’ and are at the heart of the school.”

“The warm, caring Christian ethos is evident in the excellent relationships enjoyed at all levels throughout the school community.”

“The strong Christian ethos, collective worship and religious education (RE) are particularly effective in supporting the spiritual and moral and cultural development of all children.”

“There are many excellent opportunities provided for children’s spiritual development, especially through quiet reflection.”

“Collective worship is explicitly Christian and central to daily life at Sutton Benger. This is because it is highly effective in promoting the school's Christian values.”

“Religious education has a high profile at Sutton Benger. As a result, it has a positive effect on children and they enjoy RE lessons.”

Following our last report in July 2014, we were asked to develop how we involve children more frequently in planning, leading and evaluating worship. As a result, we have worked closely with our Worship Teams to develop planning and leading church services as well as worship within school, and effectively evaluating different worship to show its impact and how we can improve it. This is monitored

by governors and the Collective Worship Leader, who feed back to all staff at regular times throughout the year.
